Well, what can I say, like I've made obvious in a statement I've made before, when
whatsapp makes an update, it's a
hit, this time they have upgraded the stories with style!
A week back they rolled out the test modes for beta users, and believe me you, it was a thrilling experience, was really fun, they are expected to release the stable version anytime soon but before they do, if you missed the beta version, not to worry, as I'm about to tip you off on what's coming.
Know those 24hr stories (statuses) feature the parent company(Facebook Inc.) allegedly stole from Snapchat? Well, most of the new updates are about it.
- You can now update text-based statuses, right from the app, no need writing it with a third party app! and uploading as a pic, you would find a pen icon right on the camera icon that leads to the functionality.
- You can style the background of your text-based status updates! Just like on facebook statuses, you will be able to do same now on whatsapp.
- And one of the most exciting which will set bloggers off with happiness is the hyperlink option! With this option you can embed link in the text based statuses...
All these and more will come at us all once in the incoming update! You should be on the lookout!
